Hi I’m Joel, an Aussie Dad who has way too much energy, and who finds the word “sausage” hilarious. I spent one Sunday colouring in blank poker cards to make a game with my kids, and that little arts and crafts project ended up changing everything.

We’ve always loved playing games as a family, it’s our way of connecting, laughing, and winding down at the end of the day. This gave me a front row seat of what my kids really liked in a game. That’s what sparked the idea to create something new, The Golden Sausage card game.

This isn’t a polished corporate brand. It’s a small Aussie family business built out of curiosity, an eagerness to learn, and a desire to make something people can enjoy. 

For me this has never been about making a card game.

It was about creating something real, that my kids would be proud of.

(They even took my game to school for show and tell, proud Dad moment!)

I’m happy to put my name and face behind The Golden Sausage card game, because I’m confident that what I’ve created is truly something that families can enjoy together.
